Warmup Circle Dance<\/strong><\/p>\n

A 32 bar round the room dance for 1 couple

1 \u2013\u00a04\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Facing partner, dance past partner and turn the next person with the right hand and pass your partner back to original places facing the person on who isn’t your partner.<\/p>\n

5\u00a0\u2013\u00a08\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Dance past\u00a0the person you are facing\u00a0and turn the next person with the right hand and pass\u00a0that same\u00a0person back to original places facing\u00a0your partner.<\/p>\n

9 \u2013 12 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Turn partner with the right hand
\n13 \u2013 16 \u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Turn partner with the left hand, finish facing the person on the other side (not your partner)<\/p>\n

17 \u2013 18\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Turn the new person (new partner) with the right hand \u00be times into allemande hold facing counter-clockwise.

\n32 bar Strathspey for three couples in a four couple longwise set<\/p>\n

1 \u2013 8 \u00a0\u00a0 \u00a01st and 2nd couples dance the knot. 1st couple finish facing first corners<\/p>\n

9 \u2013 12\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a01st couple and first corners dance corner pass and turn. 1st couple pass right shoulder in the middle to face second corners.<\/p>\n

13 \u2013 16\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a01st couple and second corners dance corner pass and turn. 1st couple, passing right shoulders to cross over to own sides.<\/p>\n

17 \u2013 20\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a02nd, 1st and 3rd couples set, then, giving right hand to partner, cross over to change places<\/p>\n

21 \u2013 24\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a02nd, 1st and 3rd couples dance six hands round to the left three-quarters of the way, finish facing in lines across the dance, men facing down and women facing up.<\/p>\n

25 \u2013 28\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0All set, then, giving left hand to partner cross up and down the dance to change places.<\/p>\n

29 \u2013 32\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0All dance six hands round to the right three-quarters of the way, finishing in order 2, 1, 3 on own sides.<\/p>\n

Mo’ili’ili Jig<\/strong>
\n32 bar jig for three couples<\/p>\n

1 \u2013 4\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a01st couple turn once round by the right hand, returning to place<\/p>\n

5 \u2013 8\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a01st and 2nd couples dance right hands across once round, return to place with 1st lady facing out.<\/p>\n

9 \u2013 16\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a01st lady followed by her partner casts round 2nd lady, crosses up through first man’s place, casts off round 2nd man and crosses to second place, own side facing down. 1st man ends in second place, own side facing down. 2nd couple step up on bars 16 and 16 and face down.<\/p>\n

17 \u2013 24\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a02nd, 1st and 3rd couples dance reels of three on their own sides, 1st couple giving right shoulders to 3rd couples to begin. 3rd couple finish the reels facing up.<\/p>\n

25 \u2013 28\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a01st and 3rd couple dance right hands across once round.<\/p>\n

29 \u2013 32\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a01st and 2nd ladies and 1st and 2nd men turn by the left hands once round. 1st couple ends in second place ready to begin again.<\/p>\n

Mo’ili’ili (pronounced mo-eelee-eelee) is the neighborhood in Honolulu, Hawaii, where Mary and David taught Scottish Country Dance for many years.<\/p>\n

17 \u2013 24\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a01st and 2nd couples dance an allemande<\/p>\n

Repeat, having passed a couple.<\/p>\n
